Prevalence of Frozen Shoulder: A Cross-Cut Survey

This descriptive type of cross sectional study was conducted to find out pattern frozen shoulder patients attending different services in selected hospitals Dhaka city with a sample size 100. Non randomized purposive sampling done. Pretested structured questionnaire used get data and verbal consent taken prior interview. All the were entered analyzed by using statistical packages for social science (SPSS) software version 16.0. Mean age respondents 50.66 + 13.406 year. Among 52% female 48% male. Result found that most (93%) had done investigation rest them (7%) did not. Besides 47% suffering from left followed 45% right 8% both respectively. also revealed majority (60%) movement restriction & muscle spasms 40% no spasm. Half (52%) stage 2 35% 1 13% 3 (49%) diabetic mellitus rests 51% absent. received medications, 18% intra-articular steroids 63% physiotherapy. Of 98% feel better after treatment Study advanced females more sufferers shoulder. Limitation spasm prominent complain. Physiotherapy should be available.

The serum lipid levels were measured in 43 of these patients and compared with those in 43 age-matched and sex-matched control subjects.
